Leaving Grants Pass at 8am in the first pouring rain in months. By the time we reached the intersection between Highway 89 and Highway 44 the rain had stoped. The road was open again after being closed due to the Dixie Fire. Once we passed Susanville, the effects of fires along Highway 395 were evident. There were high wind warnings and lack of visibility due to blowing dust and smoke. Fueled in Fernley and arrived in Fallon around 4
